GF Outreach Programs
GurlFytrz Non-Profit has two outreach programs at the present time. One is our Horse Competition Team program and one is our Karate Competition Team program.
The horse outreach program works like this. Any show or race we go to we hand out literature about domestic violence and also talk about our website to others in hope to spread the word about this rising problem. Domestic violence affects near every family in one way or another. Our hope is to not only get the women involved with horses and eventually to compete but to also help educate people near and far and draw them to our website which is a porthole of information for any woman.
The Karate outreach program does the same thing, we travel, hand out literature , steer people to our website and involve the women in our program in learning self-defense and martial arts. Eventually they can compete and travel with the core team as well.
The karate team also has another grand purpose. While we travel, and when we are at tournaments we speak to other schools about getting on board by offering free self-defense to any woman / and or kids that cannot afford it. Their business name and information will then be put on our website on the schools page under self-defense. They will join us in helping women around the nation by teaching them to protect themselves and their children. This will not only build confidence, but hopefully will help save lives as well.
