GF Safe Ranch Phase One
Phase one of the GurlFytrz project is in action at this time. Our karate outreach program is in the works-we offer free self defense lessons all over the US. GurlFytrz also provides work clothes for women that need to go out and provide income for their own families. We are working very close with our grant writer and some affiliates to complete the process needed to obtain both grants and private funding. Watch for many more things to be announced in the upcoming future.
PHASE 2 GurlFytrz SAFE RANCH
The GurlFytrz Complex will be an inspiring environment to bring women to and will give them a new direction and attitude in life to bring peace back into their lives. The complex will have many facets to improve women’s skills in traditional and nontraditional occupations. There will be programs on-site and in the organization that women can be a part of, or off-property training and skill building (nearby colleges, local businesses who give us support, and sporting events nearby), studio/self-defense training for women at risk, GurlFytrz team training, plus a variety of daily exercise classes for the community.
The complex will feature:
- A weight room with the latest nautilus and free weight equipment and training aids;
- Main House that will be staffed 24 hours a day with martial artists who will provide protection to our temporary housing residents from violent spouses or boyfriends. The main house will also provide meals for all THR’s (temporary housing residents) and staff;
- Cottages for women who need to be relocated from a violent situation, women who don’t have the means to make it on their own yet, or who need a temporary stay over to think through their situation;
- Stables housing horses for the women to ride, train, or work. We will teach women to ride horses, train for competitive sport, or teach them how to work a horse ranch for a new skill; and
- Land used to grow organic fruits and vegetables, to be consumed by the complex or sold for fund raising money to maintain the property.
-A martial arts facility to teach,and school women and children in Self-Defense-Self-Protection-Traditional Martial Arts and a place for our competition team to practice. The martial arts facility will also have meditation rooms-yoga-and a full spa.
-A Shop to house the businesses that the GurlFytrz will be running to replenish and support the complex. Some of these businesses include-our line of clothes sold on our website-crafts and art-auto detailing-pet grooming-horse training.
We will build our companies within the non-profit and organization facilities to be self-suffi cient: we will grow our own food and all of the GurlFytrz Companies will help support our operations. In essence, we will be completely revolutionary in that we will not entirely rely on annual subsidiary outside capital. Likewise, we will be taking women out of the welfare scene that typically depends upon government funds. Our programs are different in that we hope to house women for longer durations than typical shelters, and we hope to complement other programs as they will feel confident when referring women to our program instead of fearing they will go back to the abuser or be left on the streets.
The GurlFytrz facility will be built with modern environmental kindness; a natural stream, as well as solar and wind, will be used for power. The complex will use the latest in energy efficient materials. We will build low impact to the environment around us, no cutting of trees unless they pose a hazard or are standing dead.
